Music Videos with a set within the set

Main Post:

Hey y'all,

I was thinking recently about a recurring trend in pop music videos. Well, it's not really a trend, and maybe it's a reach, but it catches my eyes. It's kinda like the cliché of Beats headphones in a hip hop video, but without Dr. Dre's corporate sponsorship.

Maybe it's just me, but more & more music videos seem to show (photo/film) studios within the studio that the music video directors film it. Of course, they gotta film the music video in a confined studio setting. What I mean is that there's an artistic choice to expose the barebones of a studio within the studio they film music videos in. This became apparent especially after the music video for "No Brainer" came out. Issa no brainer that that song got annoying so quick lol.

Here are some examples of what I mean I just want to point out:

Austin Powers Goldmember Opening Scene - Britney Spears's "Boys" ft. Austin Powers (2002)

David Guetta - Where Them Girls At ft. Nicki Minaj & Flo Rida (2011)

Meghan Trainor - Lips Are Movin' (ft. HP computer products) (the whole music video, 2014)

A$AP Mob - Yamborghini High ft. Juicy J This vs. the ending (May 2016)

NAV - Some Way ft. The Weeknd (the whole music video, March 2017)

Lana Del Rey - Lust For Life ft. The Weeknd (May 2017)

Calvin Harris, Dua Lipa - One Kiss Don't blink here & the ending (May 2018)

DJ Khaled - No Brainer ft. Justin Bieber, Chance The Rapper & Quavo (the whole music video, July 2018)

Let me know what you all think of this, I suppose

Top Comment: Does Mean by Taylor Swift count? It doesn't show the cameras, but it does show the whole theater it was filmed in, as the whole thing is a play. Edit: Also, the extended version of the We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together music video works (it was never officially released).

Investigators say the unidentified victim was sleeping when S Z, 33, used a lighter to set her clothes on fire. Z used a shirt to fan the flames.

Tisch said the person of interest was on an F train as it pulled up to the Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue station in Brooklyn at around 7:30 a.m. She said he approached the sleeping woman and then lit her on fire with what was believed to be a lighter. She added the victim's clothes became fully engulfed in a matter of seconds.

Officials are still working to identify the woman, who they believe may have been homeless/transient at the time of her murder. She is described as a white woman between thirty and sixty years old with greying blonde hair, blue eyes, and evidence of a previous gastric bypass surgery. Due to the condition of her remains, traditional fingerprinting practices have been hindered, and authorities are currently working on creating a DNA profile for her.

The man responsible for her homicide has been charged with first-degree murder and arson. Law enforcement have noted that there is no known connection between the two.

Top Comment: May the victim's memory be for a blessing. I live right by there and have been to the station countless times. It's terrifying and so tragic. It's unfathomable. I pray she's identified so her remains can be laid to rest

I am so confused about the woman being burned alive in the subway in NYC…

Main Post:

How did this happen? How was she still standing? Why is the assailant casually sitting on the bench watching his victim burn? And WHY DID NO ONE HELP?

Please explain this to me like I’m five...

Top Comment: How did she die standing? Ok, so after going through a rabbit hole, I just learned what pugilistic stance is: muscle contraction caused by heat. I really wish I didn’t read what happens when your body gets engulfed in flames. When someone covered in fire, their body muscles get stiff, like if you fill a balloon with sand, it’s just really hard to move. Since the lady was probably sleeping and got up when she started burning, her body became rigid, and she could not move anymore. Other effects: Nerves destroyed, so she loses sensation. Cannot scream because of inhalation of gases/smoke/flames, which damage the vocal cords. Shock: paralyzed with pain, so she cannot move. Possible death through asphyxiation due to lack of oxygen. Holy shit, this was a horrible way to go.
